Creating a mission isn't about precision, it's about inclusivity - every team member should be able to understand and endorse it. I highly recommend involving the entire team in this exercise. This approach might temporarily divert their focus from their regular tasks, but in the long run, it accelerates their productivity as they become more aligned with the values and mission they uphold.
 
When defining values, consider their associated behaviors and potential outcomes. For instance, if "We are product people" is a value, the corresponding behavior might be an understanding of how AI impacts the product and vice versa. The ideal outcome or what 'good' looks like, as described in the template, could be that your team's work enables better products through informed decisions, thus reinforcing the team's purpose.
